Michael David

Being raised in a small town where southern New Mexico meets West Texas, Michael David straddled life between the dusty border town of El Paso and New Mexico. His biggest influence was his grandfather, who was the county sheriff and also owned the town’s bar. The color and diversity of the dry desert shaped his perspective on life and music: life was hard so you played hard. Michael David kept up with the pace, even in high school, rather than working a "normal" summer job pushing hamburgers, he drove his own stock car at a local dirt track every Saturday night. Influenced by many late nights working on his car, the music of Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, and Randy Travis tore it up for him on the one station he could get on his car radio.
After graduation, he tried his hand in business marketing, but after 3 years he decided to follow his heart and work on music. So he went west...to the Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA. Unknown to him, this was more of a rock and roll school and his first vocal coach told him he was in the wrong city and needed to move to Nashville. He stayed for a while in LA networking and building his career, but after his grandfather suddenly passed away, he realized that life was too short not to give it a try...and so he made the move to Nashville to pursue his dream.
Michael arrived in Nashville in May of 2006 and immediately began singing in local karaoke bars and making friends. He was soon asked to start voicing demos for Golden Oak Music owned by Dan and Ruby Gold, writers of songs for such names as Frank Sinatra and Roy Orbison. Michael was also introduced to vocal coach Kim Sandusky, and his baritone voice grows with power and emotion each and every day.
Michael David is now working with an awesome management team at MTM Productions. Contact Todd Mobley and his crew at 615-627-8642 for all your management needs.
